Workshop on UAM & UAS Traffic Management

The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) of the Republic of Korea (ROK) held a landmark workshop on Urban Air Mobility (UAM) and Unmanned Aircraft Systems Traffic Management (UTM) in Incheon on 13 and 14 March. This event aimed at fostering collaboration and dialogue between the two authorities in the dynamic field of UTM.

Participants were presented with the regulatory approaches to U-space and UTM integration in Europe and ROK, as well as research and demonstration and deployment projects, areas of cooperation and opportunities for U-space/UTM, and implementation projects and challenges. Contributions to the workshop were made by EASA, MOLIT, the French national aviation authority DGAC, as well as research institutions and industry including the Korea Institute of Aviation Safety Technology (KIAST), Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI), Korea Telecommunications (KT), Hanwha Systems, Indra, and Unifly.
