From 14-16 November, the EU-ROK Aviation Partnership Project (APP) organised a workshop on the pilot audit on KASS service provider for the KASS operation, training and service monitoring, on the premises  of the Korea Air Navigation Satellite Center (KANSC) in Cheongju, Republic of Korea (ROK). This activity was a follow-up to the 2022 SBAS Service Provider Certification Workshop, further strengthening the cooperation between the European and ROK authorities on Satellite Based Augmentation System (SBAS) provision oversight.

Experts from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) of ROK, the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI) and KANSC came together to discuss audit methods through a pilot audit session, covering the aspects of management system, management of changes and safety support assessment, working methods, and contingency plans, among many others. At the end of the programme of this practical and fruitful workshop, all findings and observations were presented at the closing meeting.
